Olivia Weissflog is a graphic designer with a type-centered approach that draws on a background in research and analysis. A familiarity with front-end coding languages allows her to design more effectively for the web and a love of design history gives her a deep well of references to draw from.

Created for my final capstone project at Parsons School of Design, Her Own Distinct Self is a 128 page case-bound book that examines the power of the modern spinster. Physical stitches throughout the book reference textile work and tie traditional roles of women to an emotional response to the content of each chapter.

A packaging generator for Old Spice deodorant using a JavaScript CMS. The image, logo, and background all reflect different aspects of the experience of using each scent of deodorant. The generator allows for automated development of packaging for new scents through a linked spreadsheet.

A complete proposal and high fidelity Figma prototype for an app to help Americans track the activity of their elected officials to more effectively hold them accountable. This project was completed over the course of three months with a majority of that time spent on user research and testing hitting nearly every step of the design thinking process.

A catalog and additional brand applications for an exhibition on the work of Theresa Parker Babb, a relatively unknown photographer of the late 19th century. To introduce and elevate Theresa's work to the status it deserves, I formatted the catalog as a formal photography book.

Sampler is a new embroidery typeface based on samplers made by schoolgirls in the 18th and 19th centuries. Unlike other embroidery fonts, Sampler avoids a pixelated look by using diagonal “stitches” at a fixed angle to more accurately emulate real sewing.

Two clocks created for specific uses—one for rush hour and the other for cat meal times—using date and time functions in JavaScript. The cat clock is purely typographic while the rush hour clock is purely illustrated.
